Miss South Africa crowned Miss Universe

Sheer joy from South African beauty, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters who was last night crowned Miss Universe 2017 at the Hollywood casino-resort in Las Vegas. The 22- year-old was crowned by Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere. Her win ends an almost four-decade long drought for her country. South Africa last won the Miss Universe contest in 1978. Nel-Peters outshone 91 other beauties and copped the crown during the televised pageant on Fox network.
