Ambulance damaged in Camp St collision

A transformer was dislodged after the car slammed into utility posts as a result of the collision.

An ambulance was one of three vehicles that sustained damage yesterday morning in a collision along Camp Street, between Middle and New Market streets.

Stabroek News understands that the accident occurred after the driver of the two other vehicles, a car and an SUV, failed to stop after hearing the ambulance’s siren. While no injuries were reported, a transformer was dislodged after the car slammed into nearby utility posts. It is unclear if the ambulance was transporting a patient at the time of the accident.
