I am extremely excited collecting the award,” said Haynes.

GFF President Wayne Forde said the federation was proud of Haynes’ achievement.

“We are extremely proud of the progress that Jamal and the whole men’s beach soccer squad have made in the Bahamas during this tournament. Jamal saw off a lot of very strong regional competition to win this award, and it is deserved recognition for all the hard work he has put into his game,” said Forde.

According to a press release, the GFF stated that it is working towards encouraging more participants to engage in Beach Football in an attempt to develop this aspect of football.
