Left-arm wrist spinner Dennis Bulli took 9 for 131 from 38 overs, bowling for Walton’s XI, who in reply, reached 309 for 6 up to press time with Walton hitting 169, after his 121 for the UWI Vice Chancellor’s XI against England, last week. He got support from West Indies Test Batsman, Jermaine Blackwood who made 56.

Griffith, when asked if he was confident of being selected for the Scorpions team for the resumption of the Regional four-day competition, via a telephone interview with Stabroek Sports said: “I’m always confident but I wasn’t in the squad for the Regional Super50 so it might be a bit difficult to get back in straight away. But I’m performing and I’m hopeful. At the end of the day, the selectors have to do their job and I have to do mine,” added the left-hander who is one of the JCA overseas-based contracted players, in the WICB franchise system.

Griffith will face his countrymen in Kingston from March 10-13, 2017, if selected in the Jamaica squad for the resumption of the four-day competition.
