Staged at the Georgetown Club Facility on Camp Street, Gomes brushed aside Dominic Collins 11 – 6, 11 – 3, 11 – 0 while Cadogan downed Lucas Jonas 15 – 13, 11 – 1, 11 – 2 and Fernandes bested Aliyah Persaud 7 – 11, 11 – 8, 11 – 7, 11 – 8.
In other results, Louis Da Silva squeaked past Nathan Rahaman 11 – 9, 7 – 11, 11 – 1, 11 – 7 in their Category-D encounter. In the lone Category-E fixture, Shiloh Asregado overcame Liam Carpenter 15 – 13, 4 – 11, 12 – 10.
In Category-H, Javed Saul defeated Grant Fernandes 11 – 4, 11 – 9 and Joshua Verway downed Noah Rahaman 11 – 5, 14 – 12. The event resumes today at the same venue from 18:00hrs.
