The Petra Organization, the nation’s leading football promotional group, continued their mandate to develop the discipline at every level by donating to the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA).
The donation which occurred on Wednesday evening during the Milo Secondary Schools Football Championship semi-finals at the Ministry of Education ground, consisted of footballs and the winners’ trophy for the association’s impending U17 tournament.
Troy Mendonca, Co-Director of the Petra Organization said that the entity’s mission is to play its part in the development of the sport and to aid in fostering better relationships amongst the various communities.
Meanwhile, Giddings during a brief address praised the Petra Organization for their timely gesture which he declared will go a long way towards the successful staging of the tournament.
