Guyana’s CARIFTA Games athletes who covered themselves and their country in glory by placing fifth at the just-concluded games will receive a heroes’ welcome and will travel to the city by motorcade a press release from the co-ordinators, the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) stated yesterday.
The team, which is expected to arrive at the DR. Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri on COPA Airlines at 2pm tomorrow will be received by Christopher Jones, Director of Sport, Aubrey Hutson, President of the AAG, Mayfield Trim, Kenisha Headly, Nadine Trotz (Local Coordinating Committee) and a representative of the Guyana Olympic Association,
