Locked and Loaded card on tonight at Giftland Mall

The night that local boxing fans have been waiting for is finally here.

Fight fans get ready, the ‘Locked and Loaded’ card is on tonight at the Giftland Mall.

The main course of the three-fight (professional) event features high profile fighters from South America and the Caribbean.

In the headline bout, Dexter ‘De Kid’ Marques clashes with Venezuelan, Luis ‘El Nino’ Zarraga (8-8-1) in an explosive match up of flyweights.

The much talked about fight will be loaded with power. Two prize fighters gunning for the win. Marques versus Zarraga, be there to witness the potential 10-round classic.

The showman flyweight who has not fought since last February will look to shake off some ring rust since his promotional team has already lined up a Commonwealth title fight with their sights set on a world title crack later in the year.

Edmond ‘Wonder Boy’ DeClou and Winston Pompey face off ahead of their six-round super middleweight encounter.

Marques (15-2-0) told Stabroek Sport recently that he is ready and eager to return to ring and get his career back on track.

Yesterday, fight fans got a glimpse of the ripped and ready fighters before they stepped into the ring during the final press conference and weigh in at the Pattensen edifice.

Dexter ‘De Kid’ Marques (left) squares up against Venezuelan, Luis ‘El Nino’ Zarraga following yesterday’s weigh in. Fight fans are expecting an explosive matchup of the two flyweights.

Barbadian, Charwin Estwick will face local Anson Green in a four-round catch weight contest and Edmond ‘Wonder Boy’ DeClou will lace it up against Winston Pompey in a six-round super middleweight encounter.
