On the first day of the two-day visit which is part of the Town Day celebrations, the brass of the federation and some of their standout athletes met with Mayor, Gifford Marshall and teachers of the Bartica Secondary School as a means of getting the message across to Bartician students and adults.

Today, the federation will showcase a few athletes and will also have a Question and Answer (Q&A) session with the students of Bartica to help build and convey a better understanding of the benefits of adopting a healthier lifestyle.

According to President of the federation, Coel Marks “We hope to foster stronger ties with outlying communities of Georgetown. In the short future we will be hosting a competition here to further the causes of the GBBFFI.”
