GCA U17 semis, final this weekend

The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) is set to resume cricket action in the city today providing that the weather holds.

GCA’s Competition Committee Chairman, Shawn Massiah, when contacted by Stabroek Sports, indicated that the association will be concluding the GCA, Guyana Diabetic Association, PAHO T20 Under-17 semifinals and final today and tomorrow at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Bourda.

Those games will see the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) playing against the Transport Sports Club (TSC) from 9:30 hours today while the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will come up against Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) in the other semifinal later in the afternoon from 1:30.

Winners from those two matches will battle tomorrow from 1:00 pm at Bourda for the GCA, Guyana Diabetic Association, and PAHO Under-17 T20 title.

Massiah, however, noted that the first and second division competitions are still on hold owing to the unsuitable state of Grounds in the city.
