The pioneers of IPTV and 4G Broadband in Guyana, E-Networks is now onboard as a corporate partner for the Independence 5K Health & Fitness Walk and a 5K and 10K run.
Following the success of the Guyana Golden Jubilee last year, the organizers will team up with E-Networks and other sponsors for a sequel.
The Rising Star Track Club in collaboration with the Ministry of the Presidency along with the Guyana Community of Service and a host of sponsors will collaborate to stage the event on May 21 to commemorate the nation’s 51st year of Independence.
The event will commence and conclude at the Square of the Revolution (Cuffy) starting at 16:00hrs. The Walk and racewill proceed along Hadfield Street to Mandela Avenue down Homestretch Avenue to finish at Cuffy.
This fixture is geared towards promoting Sporting Tourism through Health and Fitness. All participants will receive souvenir medals and T-Shirts, while cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers for the 5 & 10K races.
