Moore, Coach due Friday on talent scouting mission

In effort to give back to local football, former Golden Jaguars International Walter Moore, will be staging a two day session for members of the Golden Jaguars youth programme with the most outstanding player earning a professional trial.

According to sources close to the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Moore, who recently retired from international duty following Guyana’s elimination from the CFU Cup in 2016, is expected to arrive on local scores on Friday alongside a coach from his Finish club FF Jaro, to scout a talented youth player for a possible trial at the aforesaid European club.

The trials, which will be open to national team players under the age of 17, will be staged at Burnham Park, New Amsterdam Friday afternoon and will conclude on Sunday morning.

“This is all about Walter giving back to football in Guyana and the GFF will be treating him as an honoured guest. The federation is also expected to present Walter with a token for his commitment and service to Guyana’s football,” it was disclosed.

Moore is expected to depart on Sunday afternoon.
