All roads lead to Victoria Community Centre ground today

All roads will lead to the Victoria Community Center ground when the Hamilton Green Cup football tournament (formerly Mayor’s Cup) continues today with a triple-header from 16:00hrs.

In the opening fixture, Plaisance United will oppose East Berbice outfit Cougars, while the second fixture at 18:00hrs will pit Golden Grove against West Demerara unit Golden Warriors.

In the feature affair, Buxton Stars will engage Pouderoyen from 20:00hrs. The tournament will resume tomorrow at the same venue with another triple-header.

At 16:00hrs, Grove Hi-Tech will match skills with newcomers Mahaicony Thunder Hawks, Riddim Squad will face-off with Mahaica Determinators from 18:00hrs.

The final showdown of the night will bring together Pele FC and Ann’s Grove at 20:00hrs. The winning team will receive $500,000 and the Minister of Citizenship Trophy.

The runners-up will pocket $250,000 and the Busta Trophy, while the third place finisher will collect $150,000 and the John Fernandes accolade. The fourth place finisher will walk away with $100,000 and the Cummings Electrical Trophy.
