Fruta Conquerors King for two-day trials with Barcelona FC

Fruta Conquerors rising star Martin King, overcame several other participants to win the Nestle Milo/FC Barcelona Football Skills Tournament, in the process earning a two-day trial with the Catalan giants.

The event, which concluded yesterday at the Eve Leary ground, saw the diminutive attacker tallying 215 points to seal his ticket to Spain for the training session to be held August 21st-22nd.

The initiative was open to children aged 7-12 and consisted of three football skill sets. They were short passing, dribbling and control. His closest competitor in the tournament was Renaldo Abrams with 160 points, while Makhaya Munroe, Shaquille Dalrymple and Keshawn Andrews ended on 155, 140 and 140 points respectively.

The other members of the top 10 were Daniel Lowe (135), Shane Dalrymple (130), Akeem Francois (130), Malik Barker (130), Clarence Lucius (125) and Antonio McArthur (125).
