The Guyana Amazon Warriors yesterday visited the St. John’s Bosco Boys Orphanage at Ben Profitt Drive, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara.

The visit was part of the team’s social responsibility and was sponsored by the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT), a release from the Department of Public Information said.

DPI said that the faces of the young boys lit up as they queued to meet the cricketers.

Speaking on behalf of the Guyana Amazon Warriors, fast bowler, Sohail Tanvir, noted that the team was delighted to be a part of such a heart-warming activity. He added that “it is a great organisation for the orphan kids and we wish each of them all the best”.
