Pacesetters, Kobras outplay Eagles, Trojans

Pacesetters and Kobras secured wins in the u23 section, when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) League Championship continued on Saturday at the Burnham Court, Middle and Carmichael streets.

Pacesetters clipped Eagles 82-76. Marvin Durant led the home side with 21 points, while the duo of Quincy Dos Santos and Tafawa Daly added 14 points each. Adding seven points was Jude Corlette.

For the loser, Travis Belgrave tallied a game high 31 points, while Shamar Huntley chipped in with 21 points. Kijahnie Semple contributed eight points.

On the other hand, Kobras downed Trojans 81-73. Amoniki John led the winner with 22 points, while Akeem Morrison and Rondel Archer assisted with 11 and 10 points respectively.

For the loser, Darrol Williams tallied 20 points, while Kadeem Peterkin and Jonathan Browne supported with 11 points each. The event resumes on Wednesday August 23rd at the same venue.
