Top clubs battle today for supremacy in Trophy Stall Sevens

An appetizing recipe of rugby sevens will be dished out today at the National Park from lunch time as the top clubs battle for supremacy in the Trophy Stall 7s Tournament.

Come see the hungry Panthers, the Pepsi Hornets, the Yamaha Caribs, The Police Falcons and the GDF outfit tackle each other for the spoils and bragging rights.

Proprietor of the Trophy Stall, Ramesh Sunich recently presented the medals to President of the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU), Peter Green. A trophy compliments of the Trophy Stall will be awarded to the winner, while the runners up will receive medals.

While the Hornets, Caribs, the Falcons and GDF will be looking to take home the trophy, the Panthers, made up of former UG ruggers will look to ride their momentum of last week’s victory in the GRFU 7s to come away with another victory today. Keen contests are expected today in the scrums.

The dynamic domestic season which restarted last weekend, is said to provide more than an adequate preparation for the ‘Green Machine’ on its road to Mexico in November for the Rugby America’s North (RAN) 7s 2017.
