Essequibo hold advantage over G’town as wickets tumble on day one

Leaders Essequibo held a slight advantage over Georgetown at the end of day one of their fourth-round clash of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Jaguars three-day Franchise League tournament played at the Tuschen Sports Club ground, yesterday.

Georgetown, batting a second time, ended the day on 13 without loss, trailing Essequibo by 40 runs.

Earlier, Georgetown, batting first, were bundled out for 117 in 39 overs with opener Robin Bacchus getting another start to post 34 while Steven Sankar made 22 in a lower order effort.
