Colts defeat Pacesetters to win second division league c/ships

Colts secured the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) second –division league championships after crushing Pacesetters 85-64 to take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the best-of-three finals.

Playing at the Burnham Court, Carmichael and Middle Streets, Sunday, Jonathan Mangra top scored with 18 points in the easy win. He was assisted by Timothy Thompson who scored 15 points while Romain Fogenay added nine points.

Chipping in with eight points each were Quacey Lindo, Daniel Ramlaggan and Jamal Weekes.

For Pacesetters, Quincy DosSantos led the way with 17 points while Judah Stephney was the next best scorer with 11 points.

Marvin Durant and Stephen Peters each scored nine points while Tariq Cave chipped in with seven points.

The event will conclude tomorrow at the same venue with the final match of the division one best-of-three series between Colts and Plaisance Guardians.
