Futsal group stage action commences today

The group stage round in the inaugural Street Vibes Entertainment, ‘Futsal Championship’ will commence today at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue with eight matches.

In the opening fixture at 19:00hrs, Broad Street will oppose Swag Entertainment, while MBK All-Stars oppose Leopold Street at 19:30hrs and North Ruimveldt battle Silver Bullets at 20:00hrs.

The fourth clash will pit Dave and Celina’s All-Stars against New Market Street at 20:30hrs, while Gold is Money opposes Albouystown-A at 21:00hrs and Hustlers tackle Future Stars from 21:30hrs.

In the final two fixtures, Back Circle match skills with Tucville from 22:00hrs and Sparta Boss lock horns with African Team are 22:30hrs. Winner of the tournament will pocket $700,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third and fourth place finishers will receive $250,000, $150,000 and $100,000 respectively and the corresponding accolade. The sponsors of the event are Banks DIH Limited, the Guyana Police Force, Windjammer International Hotel and Cuisine and 94.1 Boom FM.
