Grove Hi Tech whips Kuru Kururu 4-0

Grove Hi-Tech made light work of Kuru-Kururu winning 4-0 when the East Bank Demerara zone of the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 League continued yesterday at the Grove Community ground.

Kashif Tinne recorded a double in the eighth and 19th minute while Kevin Padmore and Orwin Hunte netted in the 66th and 77th minute respectively.

In another fixture, Highway United humbled Herstelling Raiders 3-0. Ishmael Palsaram, Tyrone David and Junior Williams scored in the 21st, 24th and 60th minute apiece.

Meanwhile, Mocha gained a walkover from Agricola whilst Friendship and Diamond battled to a 0-0 result.

In the West Demerara section at the Den Amstel ground, the home side Den Amstel crushed Uitvlugt 3-1. Malcolm Miggins bagged a brace in the eighth and 26th minute, while Rueben Dainty scored in the 50th minute.

For Uitvlugt, Trayon King was on target in the 52nd minute. Also, Eagles defeated Jetty Gunners won via walkover. Over at the Golden Grove ground in the East Coast Demerara zone, Buxton Stars rout Bachelors Adventure/ Paradise 5-0.

Shamar Singh, Keshawn Gordon, Kerwin Maxwell, Ingram Charles and Dalon Blair scored in the ninth, 14th, 15th, 50th and 65th minute respectively.

The event resumes on Sunday 29th at the same venues. At Den Amstel ground, Wales will oppose Den Amstel at 9:00hrs, while Golden Warriors will tackle Crane from 11:00hrs.

At 13:00hrs, Uitvlugt will oppose Eagles, while Pouderoyen will battle at Jetty Gunners from 15:00hrs.
