Defending category-A champion Abosaide Cadogan, Demetrius DeAbreu and Ethan Jonas secured divisional wins, when the Guyana Squash Association  Lucozade Handicap Squash Tournament commenced on Wednesday.

Staged at the Georgetown Club Facility, Camp Street, Cadogan (0) defeated Nicholas Verwey (+7) 15 – 13, 15 – 11, while De Abreu (-2) edged Mohryan Baksh (+5) 15 – 14, 7 – 15, 15 – 11 and Jonas (-2) overcame Grant Fernandes (+13) 15 – 13, 15 – 13.

In the Open Category, Ryan Rahaman (+7) defeated Talia Fiedtkou (+13) 15 – 9, 15 – 10.

In other results, Lucas Jonas (0) defeated Noah Rahaman (+11), Kirsten Gomes (0) downed Osmond Mack (+10) and Louis Da Silva (+7) crushed Brenno Da Silva (+12).

The event resumes today at the same venue, with the final set for November 19th at 11:00 am.
