Played at the Georgetown Club Facility, Camp Street, Mohabeer (+8) downed Javid Rahaman (-2) 15 – 7, 11 – 15, 15 – 5 while Joseph (-22) crushed Taylor Fernandes (0) 15 – 13, 15 – 13.
Antczak (+7) overcame Michael Atherly (+10) 15 – 10, 7 – 15, 15 – 11, while Daniel Islam (-5) outclassed Alex Cheeks (-2) 15 – 4, 15 – 6.
Meanwhile, defending Category-A champion Abosaide Cadogan (0), secured her berth to the semifinal, after defeating Demetrius De Abreu (-2) 15 – 2, 6 – 15, 15 – 7.
She will now oppose Gianni Carpenter (-8), who squeaked past Louis Da Silva (+8) 3 – 15, 15 – 14, 15 – 12.
Kirsten Gomes (0) crushed Ethan Jonas (-2) 13 – 15, 15 – 10, 15 – 6 to earn a semifinal berth. Her opponent will be Michael Alphonso (-4), who defeated Lucas Jonas (+2) 15 – 11, 15 – 14.
The event concludes today at the same venue, with the finals for each section from 11:00am.
