Eagles, Netrockers stay beaten in UDFA league

League leader Eagles and second-placed Netrockers, maintained their unbeaten records in the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Senior League after defeating Topp XX and Amelia’s Ward Thursday.

In matches played at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground, Linden, Eagles crushed Topp XX 4-0 with Kellon Primo bagging a brace in the 40th and 54th minute while Kevin Neblett and Omar Brewley scored in the 21st and 60th minute respectively.

With the win, Eagles climbed to 12 points and maintains their spot at the top due to their superior difference while Topp XX remains on three points and in the seventh place.

Meanwhile, Netrockers edged Amelia’s Ward 2-1. Denzil Pryce and Orande Wills scored in the 14th and 71st minute respectively while for Amelia’s Ward, Omaley Webb netted in the 62nd minute.

Netrockers are also on 12 points but remain in second place on the tiebreak. Amelia’s Ward, on the other hand, remain in fourth position on seven points.

The top four finishers in the tournament will walk away with trophies and cash incentives.
