Glasgow leads BV/Triumph past Plaisance with hat-trick

Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph crushed Plaisance 7-0 when the East Coast Demerara leg of the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) U17 football league continued Sunday.

Omari Glasgow led the assault with a hat-trick in the 15th, 29th and 65th minute at the Golden Grove ground.

He was supported by a Tyrice Dennis double in the first and 27th minute, while Samuel Garnett and Shaquan Harris scored in the 40th and 57th minute respectively.

Meanwhile, Ann’s Grove gained a walkover from Bachelor’s Adventure/Paradise while Buxton Stars also won by walkover from Mahaica Determinators.

The event resumes on Friday at the same venue. At 11:00hrs, Bachelor’s Adventure/Paradise will oppose Plaisance while Golden Stars will tackle Ann’s Grove from 13:00hrs.

The final fixture will pit Buxton Stars against Buxton United at 15:00hrs.

The tournament also continues on Sunday at the same location.

In the opening fixture, Plaisance will battle Buxton Stars at 13:00hrs, while Golden Stars will lock horns with Mahaica Determinators at 15:00hrs.
