The ‘Race of Champions’ horse race fixture which was scheduled to run off on Sunday at the Rising Sun Turf Club has been cancelled indefinitely.
According to the organizers, the reason for the cancellation is due to poor horse entry coupled with the prevailing inclement weather.
The organizers have since decided to concentrate on the Guyana Cup Rematch scheduled for December 31. Horse owners are being urged to fill out their entry forms at least one week before the event.
While the card will not run off on Sunday, there will be a meeting of horse owners, trainers and jockeys at 13:00hrs at Lot 3, Number 22 Village West Coast Berbice.
