KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Veteran left-arm spinner and captain, Nikita Miller, finished with a 13-wicket match haul as Jamaica Scorpions crushed the win-less Windward Islands Volcanoes by 10 wickets to capture their second game on the trot in the Regional Four-Day Championship here yesterday.

Resuming the final day of the fifth round contest at Sabina Park on 169 for six, Volcanoes were bowled out for 186 with the 35-year-old Miller taking three of the last four wickets to fall, to end with figures of eight for 54.

Set a modest 35 for victory, Scorpions easily got home without losing a wicket, with Guyanese Trevon Griffith ending unbeaten on 24 from 20 balls – striking a four and a pair of sixes.

Volcanoes made a rocky start to the day when they lost Cato in the third over of the morning with three runs added, triggering a side which saw the last four wickets tumble for 15 runs.

Shane Shillingford, on eight at the start, added four runs before he departed with the score on 173 for eight, caught at the wicket off seamer Derval Green.
