Pollard joins Renegades for back end of season

MELBOURNE, Australia, CMC – West Indies Twenty20 star Kieron Pollard has signed on with Melbourne Renegades for their last three matches of the Big Bash League bowling off later this month.

Pollard will replace Afghan off-spinner Mohammed Nabi, who was called up this week to replace West Indies off-spinner Sunil Narine.

Trinidadian Narine has withdrawn for personal reasons.

Nabi will be available for the first seven games of the Big Bash and when he departs, Pollard will step in to fill the breech.

For the experienced Pollard, the campaign will be his fifth in the Big Bash after four previous seasons with Adelaide Strikers.

He will play alongside fellow Trinidadian Dwayne Bravo who is returning to the franchise again this seaso
