Cummings Lodge man found dead on road

The body of a male who about 6 last evening left his Cummings Lodge home in the company of some female friends to attend an entertainment show at the Ogle Community Centre, ECD , was later discovered in a pool of blood on the northern half of the Oleander Garden Public Road, ECD, the police said today.

Cognisant of the impact that diabetes is having on the local population, the Banks DIH Ltd Group is working assiduously to ensure that no linkages are drawn between its products and the disease so that it can continue to avoid any possibility of a “sugar tax.”

Jagdeo criticises Chand over cooperation with gov’t

Dear Editor, A recent article in the Stabroek News ‘No plans to revisit Exxon deal’ (Jan 26) suggests that the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) was involved in the drafting of the Petroleum Commission Bill: “…the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), International Monetary Fund and the Commonwealth had helped with the drafting of the proposed legislation and stakeholders consulted had asked for a revisiting of the bill.”
