The police today said that Jermaine Williams, 40, of Lot 331 Richmond, Essequibo Coast who escaped from the Anna Regina Police Station in February 2018 where he was held for Rape and also on several Affiliation Warrants with arrears totaling $1,056,300, was recaptured yesterday afternoon.

City Hall to get $75m admin building

A $75m administrative building will be constructed in 2019 to house staff currently occupying the dilapidated City Hall building, according to Communities Minister Ronald Bulkan, who has also disclosed that phased restoration works will subsequently be done on the historic structure.
