After an intense in house judging session, fifteen competitors were selected from a total of eighteen entries as semi–finalists for the 2018 edition of the Carib Soca Monarch, a release from the Ministry of Social Cohesion said yesterday.
The competition which returns after a two-year hiatus will be run by the ministry for the 1st time in over a decade and will have ANSA McAl Trading Limited; the company that once ran the competition, continuing their support as the title sponsor with their Carib Beer brand.
The semi – final which is scheduled for the 10th February, 2018 in the mining town of Linden will see five contestants being eliminated with the remaining ten battling for the title in Georgetown on the 17th February.
