A man was yesterday arrested after trying to smuggle cigarettes and vodka to a prisoner in the holding cell at the magistrates’ courts complex in Georgetown. Leon Smartt (inset) allegedly tried to conceal the vodka in a Sprite bottle. Smartt was subsequently arrested and taken to the Brickdam Police Station. He is expected to be charged soon.
