Man claims borrowed items stolen at wedding in Essequibo

A man was yesterday placed on $65,000 bail for allegedly converting borrowed items to his own use.

The charge stated that Carl Duncan on January 13th at Georgetown, converted a camera and printer to his own use and benefit, property of Martin Bovell. Duncan pleaded not guilty to the charge and stated that he was at a wedding in Essequibo where he was robbed of the said items. He further added that he is willing to pay the complainant back for the items.

Magistrate Fabayo Azore placed the man on $65,000 bail and adjourned the matter until February 14th.
