National cyclist put on peace bond after assault, property damage charges

National cyclist Alonzo Greaves was on Wednesday brought before a city court on charges of assaulting the mother of his child and damaging property.
It was alleged that on January 28th, at Garnett Street, Greaves unlawfully assaulted Jenel Cox.
It was also alleged that he unlawfully and maliciously damaged a Suzuki Escudo vehicle, costing $200,000 in damage.
When the matters were called before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, Cox indicated that she wanted the charges to be dismissed and that Greaves be placed on a bond.
