Statements served to Mocha businessman ahead of driving death trial

Statements were last Friday served to the Mocha businessman who was charged last year with causing the death of a woman, whom he struck along the Herstelling Public Road.

Cleveland Softleigh, who is charged with causing death through dangerous driving, received the statements when the matter was called before Magistrate Judy Latchman.

The charged against Softleigh stated that on July 29th, 2017, he drove motorcar PKK 3251 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of 64-year-old Ingrid James.
