Alleged horse cart thieves fined, placed on bail

Two men were on Wednesday charged for allegedly stealing a horse cart.

It is alleged that Kevin Bobb and Ramesh Rambarran between January 18th and 28th at Bel Air Park stole a horse drawn cart, valued, $140,000 property of O’Neal Gentle.

Bobb pleaded guilty to the charge and stated that he saw the broken cart on the corner of the road and asked Rambarran to assist him in moving it. He added that as he was with the cart when other persons bullied him for it, and he ran away, out of the fear of being injured.

Rambarran also pleaded guilty to the charge, but a not guilty plea was entered after he explained to the court that he did not move the cart.

Bobb stated that he has no problem returning the cart and had purchased some of the items to replace the cart. Magistrate Fabayo Azore fined Bobb $25,000 and placed Rambarran on $25,000 bail.
