Preliminary trial of cops accused of ‘Sagga’ murder underway

The preliminary trial of the two police officers accused of the murder of businessman Godfrey Scipio, called ‘Sagga,’ yesterday commenced before Magistrate Fabayo Azore.

The prosecution brought several witnesses to present evidence, including the man who took the deceased to the hospital and one of the investigating officers.

It is alleged that Detective Corporal Derwin Eastman and Constable Jamenson Williams on October 12th, 2017, at Stanley Place and David Street, Kitty, murdered Scipio in the course or furtherance of a robbery.
