A farmer drowned on Friday after he managed to save two of his children following the capsizing of their boat in a river at Waramadong, in Region Seven.
The body of Latchman Benjie, 41, of Jawalla Village, was only discovered floating in a river at Kamarang yesterday morning. Police say that Benjie and two of his children were returning home from their farm when the boat they were travelling in capsized. While Benjie managed to rescue his children, he disappeared under the water and his body was only discovered yesterday morning.
