Ann’s Grove miner charged over ganja found in oil

An Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara miner was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with possession of almost 15 pounds of cannabis, which police say were found in buckets of oil in the interior.

Keemo Argyle, 40, of Lot 25 Main Street, Ann’s Grove, was read a charge which alleged that on March 23rd, at 70 Kilometre Outpost, he had 6,646 grammes (equivalent to 14.6 pounds) of cannabis.

Subsequent to the charge being read by Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in Georgetown, the accused pleaded not guilty.
