Three more held over murder of Dominican miner

Three more suspects were on Thursday arrested by the police in connection with the murder of Dominican Republic national Pedro Pablo Rosario, who was shot and killed last Friday when armed bandits invaded a mining camp at Black Water Backdam, Cuyuni River.

The arrests brought the total number of suspects now in custody to 10. Seven persons were arrested on Sunday.

Crime Chief Paul Williams yesterday told Stabroek News that the three suspects were on Thursday brought to Georgetown, where the others are being questioned by ranks of the Criminal Investigation Department’s Major Crime Unit.
