The Chambers  of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Wednesday and Thursday held public outreaches at Mabaruma and Port Kaituma in Region One,  North West District.

A release yesterday from the DPP’s Chambers said that the objective of the two-day event was to sensitise residents of both communities about the functions of the DPP’s Office in the judicial system and what assistance can be given to those who seek redress on criminal matters.

The release said that on Wednesday several residents of Mabaruma went to the regional office’s boardroom where they filed complaints about legal matters that are pending in the Courts or have been dismissed to their dissatisfaction and to follow-up on reports made to the police.
