Man held in pen for three years to begin receiving speech, occupational therapy

The man who was kept in a pig pen for three years is said to be making progress and will begin receiving speech therapy soon even as his parents, Clement Etwaroo and Parbatie Suhku have been released on station bail while the Guyana Police Force continues investigations into the case.

According to Divisional Commander, Assistant Commissioner Leslie James the two individuals were released after being held for 72 hours and the GPF is working to compile a file to send to the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.

Meanwhile, the young man who on Friday was found by the Guyana Women Miners Organisation (GWMO) naked and unkempt in the tiny enclosure in Block `R’, Sophia is receiving help.
