Baramita woman was strangled

An autopsy performed on Baramita’s Ruthina Thomas, whose lifeless body was discovered along a roadway a week ago,  has given the cause of death as asphyxiation due to manual strangulation, compounded by blunt trauma to head. The autopsy was performed yesterday by Government Pathologist, Dr. Nehaul Singh, at the Port Kaituma Mortuary, Police Spokesman Jairam Ramlakhan said.

Twenty-three-year-old Thomas was discovered by residents on Wednesday last in the north west community.
