Port Kaituma youth gets bail on violent robbery charge

Simeon Trapp

A Port Kaituma youth was yesterday granted his release on $10,000 bail after denying a charge of robbery with violence.

It is alleged that on November 20th, 2018, at Port Kaituma, while being in the company of Delson Phillips, Simeon Trapp robbed Ricardo Rebeiro of $60,000 cash and used personal violence before, after or during the robbery.

The 18-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge after it was read against him in the city by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Trapp was asked to post $10,000 bail for his release and he was told that his next hearing will be held at the Matthews Ridge Magistrate’s Court on February 5th.
