Kildonan man to stand trial for murder of father

A 52-year-old Kildonan man was yesterday committed to stand trial in the High Court in Berbice for the murder of his 82-year-old father. It was alleged that he set his father’s house on fire on April 10, 2017.

Colin Ross, 52, a farmer, was charged with killing his father, Rudolph Ross. The charge stated that Ross in Kildonan Village, Corentyne, murdered his father in the course or furtherance of arson in relation to a dwelling house.

Ross was represented by Legal Aid Attorney, Sasha Roberts, while the case was prosecuted by Police Prosecutor, Phillip Sheriff.
