Two men die after motorbike collision at Ogle

Two youths who live alongside each other in Cummings Lodge are now dead after the bike they were riding crashed into a jeep last night.

According to the police, dead are 20-year-old Jason Harris, who was riding his motorcycle, CJ 6360, along with 18-year-old Rameshwar Singh, who was the pillion rider.

The police disclosed that around 11:20 pm, motor jeep, PGG 8844, was traveling east along the northern carriageway of the Ogle Public Road. Upon approaching the intersection at the Ogle Access Road the jeep turned right. While the driver was in the process of turning, the motorcycle, which was traveling west along the public road collided with the vehicle.

Both Harris and Singh were knocked off the motorcycle and fell onto the road. They were then picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital in an unconscious state and both succumbed early this morning.

A breathalyser test was conducted on the driver and no alcohol was detected. He is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
