Moruca captain feared dead after falling overboard at Charity

A boat captain from Moruca, in Region One, is feared dead after reportedly falling overboard into the Pomeroon River late Thursday evening.

Linden Williams, of Four Miles, Kumuka, Moruca, was allegedly drinking with friends just prior to him falling overboard at the Charity Wharf.

According to police, the man’s family has been informed. However, as of yesterday afternoon they had not yet recovered the body.

Meanwhile, this newspaper understands that Williams, who is said to be in his forties, worked as boat captain for a cargo boat that would do normally transport goods for a Kumaka businessman.
