Body of Moruca boat captain recovered from Pomeroon River

The body of Linden Williams, the Moruca boat captain who reportedly fell into the Pomeroon River last Thursday, was recovered yesterday.

Khali Pareshram, the Commander of ‘G’ (Essequibo Coast) Division, told Stabroek News that Williams’ body was pulled from the river shortly after 4pm yesterday. He said that the body is currently at the Suddie Public Hospital awaiting an autopsy.

It was previously reported that Williams  was allegedly drinking with friends just prior to him falling overboard at the Charity Wharf. Stabroek News was told that Williams worked as a boat captain for a cargo boat that would normally transport goods for a Kumaka businessman.
