Two weapons ‘stolen’ from cops recovered

The Guyana Police Force has recovered two weapons stolen from members who were the alleged victims of robberies on two separate occasions.

According to a press statement last evening, an officer stationed in C Division was the victim of an alleged robbery under arms at about 18:00h Monday at Grenville Park, East Coast Demerara.

The rank was allegedly relieved of his jewellery, cellphone and Force issued handgun but “diligent police investigation has resulted in the recovery of all of the stolen items except the cellphone” while two suspects are in custody.
