Traffic plan for National Assembly sitting

With a siting of the National Assembly scheduled for today, the Guyana Police Force has made a number of adjustments to the flow of traffic, to reduce congestion within the city.

According to a release from the traffic department, traffic will be allowed to flow north to south on the eastern carriageway of the Avenue of the Republic; traffic proceeding north on Lombard Street will be allowed to turn right into Hadfield Street or proceed straight onto Cornhill Street and turn left into Croal Street; Cornhill Street, between Hadfield and Croal streets, will be opened to two-way traffic; and Croal Street, between Avenue of the Republic and Cornhill Street, will be opened to two-way traffic.

 The release further noted that containers and Motor Lorries are restricted from using the roads mentioned above during this time.
